In the wild beauty of the Casentino Valley, where the river Arno springs from the mountains and flows all the way to Florence, we find Il Casale (The Farmhouse), situated in the town of Pratovecchio-Stia.
It is a place created in order to fulfil a dream, that is, to devote time to culture, in particular to writing, memory and art in general – while immersed in the greenery of the Casentino Forest National Park. An elegant image of rural architecture evoking silent past times.
The ownership of the two farmhouses passed from Marquis Gerardo Goretti Miniati to writer Lorena Fiorini after a complex succession process, which began on the 23rd of July, 2014, and was finally concluded on the 10th of January, 2018. The conservative renovation of the large farmhouse started on that date, and was concluded in 2023. The second, small farmhouse was completed in 2025.
