Bibliography
Lorena Fiorini was born in Arezzo and lives in Rome. She worked for Rai, has a degree in psychology and contributes to periodicals, in particular Moondo mangiare, in the section C’era una volta. She is president of the literary prize ‘Donne tra ricordi e futuro’ (Women between memories and the future) and of the cultural association ‘Scrivi la tua storia’ (Write your own story). A student of Stanislao Nievo, she teaches creative writing. She is editor-in-chief of the Notiziario della Fondazione W Ale. She has been a member of FIDAPA BPW Italy, the Italian Federation of Business and Professional Women, since 1996 and was president of the historic Romanel section from 2013 to 2015.

For her work as a writer, Lorena has received various certificates and awards. In particular, the Municipality of Pratovecchio awarded her a civic commendation for her commitment to preserving memory. She received the special “Publishing and Journalism” award from the “Enrico Toti” Prize and was included among the Italian excellences for Ingenuity, Courage and Humanity for her intense activity as President of the Cultural Association “Scrivi la tua storia” (Write your story) and the literary prize “Donne tra ricordi e futuro” (Women between memories and the future). She also received the Salvo D’Acquisto Award at the Campidoglio, awarded to her father in memory of the man and soldier Bruno Fiorini, who was able to survive thanks to his own values and those of his family.
She has presented her books and the literary award ‘Donne tra ricordi e futuro’ (Women between memories and the future) on numerous occasions, and is responsible for publishing the winning texts.
She has participated in various meetings, festivals and conferences, which she has organised and at which she has spoken as a guest speaker. She has served as president of the jury for the ‘Buono da scattare’ photography prize and the ‘La rosa d’oro’ literary prize, and is a member of the jury for the ‘Alberandronico’ prize.
She has made numerous appearances in the press, on radio, television and in print and online newspapers.
On 17 December 2015, Vatican Radio dedicated a 20-minute adaptation of her book “Betty, sono Bruno” to give voice to a World War II veteran.
She is one of the creators of the handbook Capire per Salvarsi (To Understand in order to Save Yourself), a tool created by the two sections of FIDAPA BPWItaly Romae Roma Campidoglio, dedicated to women victims of violence and distributed by FIDAPA throughout Italy.
